After taking inventory of the variety of containers that my neighbor and I have collected, I reviewed the list of labels and added 'Love Potion #9'. I am planning nine successive Love Potions, each getting smaller and each containing liquid starting from pink and going to red until I get to the final, tiny, crimson #9.
I took my list over to my neighbor's house and she helped my translate all the labels. We started using some kanji but, since the audience includes children and the kanji for many of these things is rather obscure, we switched to Hiragana and Katakana to make them more universally readable. Here is the list:

About half our containers are clear; the other half are opaque. If you have ANY suggestions about what I can use in the clear containers to look like any of the things above, I'd love to hear it.
The box arrived from Oriental Trading. The boy was so excited, he cut it open right away. His scary test tubes of goo and fingers, eyeballs and body parts were appropriately gruesome. The strings of eyeball lights are bigger than I expected so, since we got two, we should be well illuminated. The spider webs I ordered are different from what I expected. I ordered two, expecting two. Since placing the order, I have been mad at myself because I have found the webs locally for a lot less money than Oriental Trading. But obviously I did not read the fine print because I got two packages of 12. So I guess they are still cheaper from Oriental Trading. And now I have enough webbing to cover our house, the neighbors and, perhaps, even across the road.
