November 1st

We took down the bats, threw away all the spider webs and reduced the ghosts to folded white fabric.  All the decorations are packed away in a box for next year.  We emptied all the bottles and put them out for recycling.  Halloween is officially over for this year.

What worked?  What would I do differently next year?  Excellent questions.

I think the bat rings were a big hit; I would do something like them again.  Vast quantities of lollipops are also required.  The hanging decorations, spiders webs and Margaret were big hits.

The apothecary was too detailed and too small for the crowds.  A few people were interested but I am not sure it was worth the effort.

Next year...we had some ideas for themes....pirates, mad scientist, steampunk.  But honestly I now think these are all too detailed.  It might be better to have the usual decorations and more photo op places.  Well, we have over 11 months to plan, so we have time to think about it for a while.  See you next Halloween!
